API files suit against City of Thornton, challenging new oil and gas regulations

DENVER, October 10, 2017 – The Colorado Petroleum Council today released the following statement as it joined the Colorado Oil and Gas Association in filing a lawsuit against new regulations adopted by the City of Thornton that could hurt jobs, raise energy costs to Colorado consumers, and hurt the state’s economy.

American made energy is growing, estimated completed wells up 63 percent this year

Washington, October 9, 2017 – API today announced that estimated wells completed in the third quarter of 2017 increased 63 percent compared to the third quarter of 2016. This includes a dramatic 84 percent increase for all oil wells completed from year-ago levels.
