Murphy Oil refineries actively support local environmental preservation initiatives such as Community Clean Up Programs and Tree Tales, a program commemorating Earth Day and raising public awareness of the environmental importance of trees.
Murphy is also proud to sponsor its own recognition of volunteerism, the Community Spirit Award, held in St. Bernard’s Parish, Louisiana, the location of the Company’s Meraux refinery. The event honors a volunteer from either the community at large or from within the Company and includes a $5,000 award to the winner’s charity of choice.
