The development of consensus standards is one of API’s oldest and most successful programs. It covers about 550 standards for all segments of the oil and natural gas industry. The breadth of this vital program is an important indication of the varied industry contacts that attendees can make during the sessions and networking opportunities.

General Information: If you are an employee of a company that holds corporate membership in API, you are entitled to the API member rate. Substitutions, Cancellations, and Refunds: Substitutions may be made at any time by written request. Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by June 1, 2012 at registrar@api.org or at the American Petroleum Institute, 1220 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005. Attention: Events and Tradeshows. A refund of your registration fee, less a $100 cancellation fee, will be made if notice is received by this date. No refunds given after June 1, 2012.

Advance Your Standards
Your participation keeps API standards going strong, and we would like you to share your standards expertise with the next generation. API invites you to sponsor first-time attendees from your company complimentary at all API 2012 standards meetings.
Complimentary registration is limited to first-time attendees, who must be sponsored and accompanied by a prior API standards meeting participant from the same company. Pre-registration is required. Registration for sponsored attendees can be completed on-line under a participant registration. All hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant/attendee.
If you wish to sponsor a first-time attendee, and you are a previous participant at API standards meetings, please complete the Sponsored Attendee section on your on-line Registration Form by May 25, 2012. You'll find the Sponsored Attendee category by clicking on the drop-down box under Guest Information. On-site registration will not be accepted for Sponsored Attendees.
Sponsorship/Exhibitor Application and Agreements
Sponsoring or exhibiting at standards meetings is a targeted, cost-effective avenue for connecting with customers that you might not reach otherwise. The deadline for returning Sponsorship/Exhibitor Applications and Agreements is May 11, 2012.
Sponsorship items requiring artwork should be returned by April 27, 2012.

Hotel Information
We have sold out of our room blocks at the Westin Westminster Hotel. An alternate block of rooms has been set up at the Aloft Broomfield Denver Hotel at 8300 Arista Place, Broomfield, CO 80021. You may make reservations by calling the Aloft at 303-635-2000. Please mention the 2012 Exploration and Production Standards Conference on Oilfield Equipment and Materials (API) to get the group rate of $159, plus tax. The cut-off date for making sleeping room reservations is May 25, 2012. The rate is available three days prior to Sunday, June 10 and following Thursday, June 14. The hotel has a free shuttle to make it convenient to make trips between the Aloft and the Westin.

Breakfasts will be provided Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings beginning at 8:00 am. In addition to breakfasts, the following activities are being planned.
