Don't miss the 78th Annual API Federal Tax Forum for the Oil and Natural Gas Industry, May 7-8, 2012 in Houston, Texas.
The Forum is one of the only legal conferences focusing on federal oil and gas taxation and is consistently praised by participants as an excellent learning opportunity. It is open to private lawyers and accountants interested in this area and attracts speakers who are leading authorities in their fields. The topics covered at the Forum are usually selected to address both basic and advanced issues on the U.S. taxation of domestic and international oil and gas operations.
The Forum is usually organized with a general session on the first day and various breakout sessions on the second day. We anticipate that the Forum presentations will qualify for State Bar of Texas CLE credits and CPE credits through that NASBA.
Learning Objectives
• To provide updates on tax law changes impacting federal income tax issues.
• To provide training on identifying general legal issues or compliance concerns in federal income tax preparation activities.
• To provide training on various federal tax issues as they specifically impact oil and gas organizations.
This will be an overview program with a group-live delivery. There will be no prerequisites necessary and no advance preparation necessary for these presentations.
CPE Credit Information
For CPE purposes, this program will provide current information on tax and accounting issues associated with the oil and gas industry aimed at aiding the professional development of attendees. The program will generally have topics addressing basic and intermediate levels of knowledge as well as updates on relevant areas. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation for the Forum and all topics will be presented in the Group-Live format.
The amount of CPE credit associated with the Forum is expected to be around 11 hours over the two day period. API is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
