WASHINGTON, June 17, 2010 – In testimony prepared for today's Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources of the House Committee on Natural Resources, API Upstream Director Erik Milito said the oil and natural gas industry is committed to meeting the public’s expectations for safe and reliable production of the nation’s critical energy needs.

“The responsible path forward is to recognize the important role energy plays in fostering job growth and energy security,” he said. “Those goals – job growth and energy security – can and should be met through responsible domestic oil and gas development.”
