Lisa Salley serves as vice president of Global Industry Services (GIS) at the American Petroleum Institute. In this role, Ms. Salley will oversee certification, standards, training, events, publications and safety programs for onshore, offshore and refinery operations. GIS has played an increasingly critical role in the international oil and natural gas industry, and the department has offices in Beijing, Dubai, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Houston and Washington, D.C.
Immediately prior to joining API, Ms. Salley was vice president and general manager of UL’s Energy and Power Technologies Division. As a key member of the UL Commercial and Industrial executive leadership team, she played an important role in the electrical grid and distributive power markets. Under her leadership, UL implemented global strategy to ensure safety and to accelerate adoption of new technologies such as renewable energy, energy storage, and cybersecurity. Prior to joining UL, Ms. Salley held senior executive roles at GE, Rohm & Haas, and Dupont.
Ms. Salley is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she received a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering a master’s degree in Engineering & Management.
