Sales Associate - Training & Certification Programs (Houston)

 
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline with 3+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing with experience in manufacturing and/or petroleum industry.
  • Experience/knowledge in management standards and systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14000, API Spec Q1, and TS 29001).
  • Excellent customer relations, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Foreign language skills a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to accomplish established sales goals.
  • Experience with computer office programs and databases especially Microsoft Office Suite.

  • to use objectivity and diplomacy when working with clients in high stress situations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for performing sales of API’s Certification Programs, which include the API Monogram Program, Quality Registrar (APIQR), Individual Certification Programs (ICP), Engine Oil Licensing and Certification Program (TPCP) and API Witnessing Programs.
  • Responsible for gathering sales leads and converting them into new business. Includes creating sales quotations and conducting sales follow-up and closure.
  • Conducting program sales seminars and attending industry events.
  • Performing sales via telephone, in person and through direct mailing campaigns.
  • providing customer services activities
  • Supporting the Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Coordinating with Program Assistants in the management of incoming applications and maintaining a program sales contact
  •  database.
