Apply for Membership

Membership in API is open to corporations involved in the oil and natural gas industry or an allied industry.

The API Bylaws establish the requirements for membership. They are:

• Oil and natural gas companies incorporated in and having their principal offices in the United States, Canada or Mexico are eligible for membership in API.
  
  
• Companies involved in an allied industry and incorporated in and having their principal offices in the United States, Canada or Mexico are eligible for membership in API.
  
  
• Companies involved in an allied industry with principal offices in a country other than the United States, Canada or Mexico may be admitted to API membership on approval by the chairman, president and treasurer.
