Each year the San Juan County United Way sponsors a Day of Caring to provide project-specific assistance to member agencies through the joint volunteer work of corporations and their employees.
Area companies adopt one or more agencies and provide employee volunteers to assist on projects the agencies could not otherwise accomplish by themselves.
Recently, several San Juan Division employees joined forces and, working together at the three agencies, successfully installed new carpet and a restroom vanity at Family Crisis Center; installed drywall and windows in a dormitory and reconstructed bathroom facilities at Frontline Missions; and helped the Bloomfield Boys & Girls Club move from their old facilities to a newly constructed building.
The talents and hard work of company employee volunteers touch the lives of many in their communities.
