Alyeska Pipeline believes that children are Alaska’s greatest natural resource. Knowing that children reflect the communities in which they live, Alyeska promotes activities, organizations, and causes that empower children to be responsible, caring, respectful, and productive citizens. To achieve that end, Alyeska is committed to both provide financial support and in-kind services to qualified organizations and programs that enhance the lives of children. Alyeska believes all children have a right to a safe and healthy environment in which to grow. Alyeska’s contributions are directed to non-profit, educational, civic, and fraternal organizations in communities along the pipeline corridor and where Alyeska employees live and work.
For the past five years, Alyeska has been the major sponsor of the Alaska Children’s Trust Golf Tournament, an event that raises funds which provides community prevention programs for children and families. Alyeska is also the major sponsor of the YWCA Diversity Conference. This annual conference holds workshops in an effort to educate the community about differences and similarities in Alaska (note: there are 92 languages spoken in the Anchorage School District).
