ExxonMobil participates in coalitions with communities and other firms to provide resources for emergency response. For example in 2002 in Venezuela, the Central Production Facility of Operadora Cerro Negro (An ExxonMobil joint venture) provided emergency response support to its neighbors, Petroleos de Venezuela and Terranova (a private forest company) during forest fires and a petroleum tank fire. These responses will also likely result in formal mutual-aid agreements that will further enhance our emergency response capabilities.
