Numerous partnerships have been established with a variety of academic institutions to provide developmental programs for teachers. Produced in conjunction with the National Science Teachers Association, the latest release of Search for Solutions features distinguished scientists and research centers in the United States, Australia and Chile. In a public-private sector partnership, Chevron and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) launched an initiative aimed at improving education, healthcare and technical training in Angola. In one community-government partnership, some $400,000 is being spent on housing for teachers and principals at elementary and middle schools that are being rehabilitated by the Cabinda Provincial Government.
