ExxonMobil’s Project Kaleidoscope's Faculty for the 21st Century (F21) addresses the needs of the next generation of reform leaders in the natural sciences. Since it began in 1994, more than 1,100 faculty from 500 institutions have participated.
The program identifies promising young faculty members approaching tenure, brings them together with faculty mentors engaged in current discipline and teaching reforms as well as with other young faculty with like interests to develop leadership capabilities.
This network is unique in higher education, with its singular focus on leadership development that cuts across all scientific disciplines and involves faculty and administrators from all sectors of higher education.
