The API Inspection Summit was designed with you in mind. This four-day summit includes three days of presentations spanning over 120 topics. Addressing issues involved in asset condition evaluation for drilling, production systems, pipelines, terminals, refining, chemical manufacturing and storage facilities. In addition, an optional day of  training is conducted by subject matter experts. Each day focuses on presentations relevant to upstream, midstream, downstream operation and integrity management. API Inspection Summit provides an opportunity to learn about new and existing industry codes and standards, to hear about emerging trends from experts, and to discuss new and existing issues in inspection and AIM technology. 

The API Inspection Summit is the only networking event for inspectors and other inspection support professionals in the industry. As stated by attendees, “The API Inspection Summit is the best inspection related conference in the petroleum industry”.


Call for Abstracts

The call for abstracts is now open. For 2017, the Summit will cover Upstream (Drilling, Subsea, Production Systems, and Integrity Management), Midstream (Pipelines and Terminals) and Downstream (Refining, Chemical and Storage), and will have three primary topics that run concurrently each day.

These primary topics were selected by the Program Committee based on need, relevance of topic, and feedback provided by attendees of the 2015 Summit. Primary topics will include Inspection/NDE, Metallurgy/Corrosion, and Engineering & Analysis. The deadline for submissions is June 27, 2016.

Keynote Speaker

Railroad Commissioner, Ryan Sitton

Biography

Railroad Commissioner, Ryan Sitton grew up in Texas, where his parents were both science teachers. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has spent his entire career in the energy industry and in 2006 founded an engineering and technology company, helping make the world’s most complicated facilities more reliable. Since then Pinnacle Advanced Reliability Technologies has been recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held business in the world… three years in a row. Today, PinnacleART employs over 500 people.

In 2014, Ryan was elected to the Texas Railroad Commission, and is the first engineer in 50 years to serve as a railroad commissioner. He is working to make the commission more efficient and effective, so that Texas can lead America to energy independence. Ryan is also widely considered an expert in energy and regulatory policy. He is a proud husband to Jennifer and father, to Sarah, Luke, and Lance, and is often asked about his family’s impressive collection of over 100,000 Legos.
