Take a look at our new video, which addresses a very important question – What is the future of American energy? – by reminding us that the state of American energy today signals where we can be in the years to come:
America’s energy future is bright because it is strong right now – thanks to an oil and natural gas industry that supports 9.8 million jobs and represents 7.7 percent of the national economy.
Our energy future is bright because oil and natural gas development is creating well-paying jobs, opening up good career paths for the next generation of workers and generating opportunity, especially for women and minorities.
America’s energy future is bright because, thanks to the unconventional energy revolution made possible by advanced hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling, the United States as an energy superpower is becoming more economically competitive around the world and is growing more secure as we zero in on the reality of energy self-sufficiency.
What’s the future of American energy? In a word: strong.
