U.S. crude export ban is a sanction against ourselves, Murkowski says - Preserving the nation’s longstanding ban on oil exports while lifting trade restrictions against Iran amounts to “a sanctions regime against ourselves,” a top Republican senator told energy executives on Monday…“We shouldn’t lift sanctions on Iranian oil while we are keeping sanctions on American oil,” Murkowski said. “It makes no sense.”
