COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 31, 2017 – API-Ohio today announced Claire Linkhart will be joining API as the new legislative analyst.

“Linkhart will join API during a significant moment in Ohio’s history, addressing policies that are critical for the continued viability of the oil and natural gas industry and the economic benefits it brings to the state,” said API-Ohio Executive Director Chris Zeigler.

Linkhart most recently served as the primary advisor on state budgetary and economic matters for members of the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus. She also served as a senior policy advisor to the caucus and senior legislative aide to State Senator Tom Sawyer (D- District 28).

“Having grown up in Ohio, I am excited to join API to work to advance long-term policies that will help the oil and gas industry continue to thrive as it creates jobs and helps Ohio consumers,” said Linkhart. “With greater production of natural gas in Ohio, the industry is helping the United States lead the world in reducing carbon emissions which are near 30 year lows in electricity generation.

“I look forward to working with the current administration and legislative leaders to advance smart regulatory policies that will create the greatest economic benefit from the industry.”
