ST. PAUL, September 17, 2019—Today, the American Petroleum Institute (API) released a statement regarding the Minnesota Supreme Court’s ruling allowing the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) to move forward and address the Line 3 Replacement Project’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

“API commends that the MPUC will now be able to move forward with the Line 3 Replacement Project’s EIS, providing guidance on the remaining process and timeline to complete the project, which is the most studied pipeline project in state history – having undergone four years and thousands of hours of environmental review,” said Erin Roth, executive director of API Minnesota. “Line 3 helps to provide the reliable and affordable energy Minnesotans use every day and it’s time to move the replacement project and the $2.9 billion investment in Minnesota forward and update our state’s energy infrastructure.”
