API Testimony at EPA Hearing on Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science




In comments delivered on July 18 during the EPA Public hearing on the Proposed rule: Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science, API supported the use of sound, transparent science as a critical component in public policy. API Senior Policy Advisor at the American Petroleum Institute noted that API members are aware there are necessary confidentiality considerations and are committed to working with other stakeholders to maximize science transparency.

Our members recognize their responsibility to work with the public, the government, and others to develop and to use natural energy resources in an environmentally sound manner while protecting the health and safety of our employees and the public.
