Registration Coming Soon

When: November 17, 2021 - November 18, 2021

Where: Hyatt Regency Orlando, Orlando, Florida

The 2021 Fall API/AFPM Operating Practices Symposium and Roundtable will be held November 17-18, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.

API/AFPM Fall Operating Practices Symposium
November 17, 2021

The API/AFPM Fall Operating Practices Symposium is jointly sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM). This uniquely important event is an industry-wide forum held semi-annually (in the spring and fall) for the exchange of information on safe operating procedures and sharing of "best practices" within refineries and petrochemical plants.

The full-day program includes various technical presentations highlighting the lessons learned from facility incidents or near misses, discussions on accident avoidance in operating plants, and overviews of recurring themes in our industry.

A Networking Luncheon is planned for symposium participants, as well as an OPS Reception immediately following the end of the OPS program on Wednesday.

API and AFPM are joint hosts of the Operating Practices Symposium to spread industry lessons learned to a wide audience. Do not miss this opportunity to obtain information, first-hand, that is essential to enhancing your site’s safety performance and your company’s overall success.

API/AFPM Fall Operating Practices Roundtable
November 18, 2021

The API Operating Practices Advisory Group (OPAG) also invites you to attend the Operating Practices (OPS) Roundtable, a forum for sharing practices and dialogue for symposium participants on specific topics. This roundtable will be held on Thursday, November 18, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

This roundtable session complements the existing OPS by enabling participants to address specific approaches and practices on pre-selected topics pertaining to safe operating practices.

Participation Criteria

Symposium and Roundtable attendees do not have to be members of API or AFPM. However, the Symposium and Roundtable are open only to representatives of refining and petrochemical operating companies. Symposium participants are those responsible for gathering incident/near miss information and disseminating lessons-learned within their companies. API and AFPM will answer any questions about registrants not meeting the Participation Criteria. In such a case, the person registering will be contacted to confirm that the Participation Criteria are met.
