SERVE (Shell Employees and Retirees Volunteer Effort)

Founded in 1975, the intent of the SERVE program is to match employees, retirees, and their family members with volunteer opportunities that best use their available time, talents, and energy.

Through SERVE, Shell people touch the lives of countless others, young and old. SERVE volunteers tackle education, health issues and the needs of special children. They work to make opportunity available to all. For example, they collect food for the hungry, plant trees to create parks and support the arts for everyone.

It is also intended that SERVE will act as a focal point for educating the Shell "family" on the rewards of volunteering and on the impact they can have in their own community.

During the more than 20 years of the program's operation, hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours have been given to more than 250 agencies.
