Volunteerism

While Anadarko employees work hard to find new energy around the world, they still find the personal energy to lend a helping hand. Every day, Anadarko employees are organizing projects to address a need they learned of in their community.

Anadarko employees:

• Funding a rehabilitation program for the water-distribution system for three villages in Mozambique. The program allows for fresh, clean drinking water that is essential for the health and welfare of these communities.
  
  
• Cooperating with our partner Sonatrach in Algeria to provide portable solar panels to nomadic tribes in the Tassili National Park. These panels provide electricity for houses in the villages.
  
  
• Donating more than $8 million to medical facilities, colleges and universities in the United States.
  
  
• One of the largest contributors to the United Way. Each year, Anadarko’s employees’ donations to United Way agencies in Houston, Denver and elsewhere total in the millions of dollars.
  
  
• Proudly supporting valuable programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement local food pantries, the Salvation Army and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
  
  
• Adopt 70 Houston families in need of holiday assistance through the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Association.
