Volunteerism

While Anadarko employees work hard to find new energy around the world, they still find the personal energy to lend a helping hand. Every day, Anadarko employees are organizing projects to address a need they learned of in their community.

Anadarko employees:

  • Built a Habitat for Humanity home in Montgomery County, Texas with more than 150 employee volunteers.

  • Bicycle across the state of Texas for the annual MS150 bike ride from Houston to Austin, which made Anadarko the first company in the nation to raise $2 million for the Multiple Sclerosis Society through the annual rides.

  • Donated more than 1,200 units of blood to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, making Anadarko the largest donor in our category and qualifying us for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Life Giver award for 2002.

  • Collected 8,370 pounds of food during a United Way food drive - the largest single donation ever received by the Montgomery County Food Bank in Montgomery County, Texas.

  • Held a mobile phone drive in Uxbridge, UK for Scope and Capability Scotland, a charity helping the physically disadvantaged.

  • Adopt 70 Houston families in need of holiday assistance through the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Association.
