International Migratory Bird Day

ConocoPhillips is the lead sponsor for International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD), the premier birding outreach program. Each year, an estimated 400,000 people participate in IMBD events and hundreds of education programs are held in classrooms, retail stores, malls, national wildlife refuges and other sites. Through this event, more than 150,000 posters are distributed to children and bird lovers across North America.

Set on the second Saturday in May, International Migratory Bird Day is an invitation to celebrate and support migratory bird conservation. IMBD focuses attention on the nearly 350 species of migratory birds that travel between nesting habitats in North America and non-breeding grounds in South and Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
