This one week course, taught by a very experienced API 653 certified tank engineer will review the API tank inspection standard. Included in this course are demonstrations of some inspection and testing protocols and technologies at the tank farm in the Fuel Systems Demonstration Facility outside the Datanet Engineering office building in Owings Mills, MD. Completing this course affords no guarantee that the student will pass their API 653 exam nor is it a pre-requisite required by API. However, it will provide an excellent basis of problem solving and design details which are at the heart of the API 653 Standard.

Course Highlights: 

Students attending this course should be knowledgeable of fuel system basics for aboveground tank sites. There are many example problems which will be discussed in class. Some homework problems and outside reading assignments are also included in the curriculum.
