The deadline for pre-registration is April 5, 2013.  After this date, you may register for the meeting on-site.

Substitutions, Cancellations, and Refunds: Substitutions may be made at any time by written request. Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by April 12, 2013 at registrar@api.org or at the American Petroleum Institute, 1220 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005. Attention: Events and Tradeshows. A refund of your registration fee, less a $100 cancellation fee, will be made if notice is received by this date. No refunds given after April 12, 2013.

SOME Pre- and Post- Week Meetings
Various Committee Meetings will be held on one or more of the following days: Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, 2013, as well as the Thursday and Friday, April 25 and 26th. If you plan to attend any of these meetings, you may take advantage of the reduced registration fees as these meetings are scheduled separately from the main meetings Monday through Wednesday. SOME Pre- and Post-Week Registration Fees: $ 225 (by April 5) $325 (after April 5). On-line registration is not available for the SOME Pre- and Post-Week Meetings. SOME committee members will receive a separate email with details for registration.

If you plan to attend any of the other meetings scheduled Monday through Wednesday, April 22-24, 2013, you must pay the registration fees that apply for those days.  If you also plan to attend any of the pre- and post-week meetings, no additional fee is required. 

Advance Your Standards
Your participation keeps API standards going strong, and we would like to help you share your standards expertise with the next generation. API invites you to sponsor first-time attendees from your company complimentary at all API 2013 standards meetings.

Complimentary registration is limited to Sponsored First-Time attendees only.  These attendees must be registered by, and accompanied by a participant from the same company. In addition, the sponsoring participant cannot be a first-time attendee.  

Pre-registration is required.  Registration for sponsored attendees must be included on the same form as the sponsoring attendee and cannot be completed online.  If you wish to sponsor a first-time attendee, and you are a previous participant at API standards meetings, please contact Brittany Ellis at ellisb@api.org to ask for a registration form to be completed and returned by April 5, 2013.

No registrations for Sponsored Attendees will be taken on-site.  All hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant/attendee.  

Sponsorship/Exhibitor Application and Agreements

Sponsoring or exhibiting at standards meetings is a targeted, cost-effective avenue for connecting with customers that you might not reach otherwise. The deadline for returning Sponsor/Exhibitor Applications and Agreements is March 29, 2013.  

Sponsorship applications and agreements for items requiring artwork should be returned by March 15, 2013.

Spouse Program
Breakfasts will be provided Monday and Tuesday mornings.  In addition to the breakfasts, other activities are being planned as follows:

  • Monday – Hoover Dam Tour – 7-Hour Tour
  • Tuesday - Culinary Event – Tuscany Kitchen Cooking Exhibition

Early registration is required for all of the following activities. If you wait to register a spouse on-site, participation in activities will be based on availability at that time. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Spouses may also attend the reception on Monday evening.  A badge is required and may be obtained at the API Registration Desk.

Hotel Information

Reservations may be made directly with Caesars Palace Las Vegas by calling 1-866-227-5944. The cut-off date for accepting reservations into the API room block is March 25, 2013 or until the room block is sold out, whichever comes first. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space available basis only at the group rate. Please mention the American Petroleum Institute (SP API3) to receive the group rate of $249 single or double occupancy, plus current applicable taxes. The group rate applies three days prior to and after the dates of the meeting based on availability of a limited number of rooms. Early bird Promotional Rate of $215.00 (Forum Tower) and $199.00 (Roman Tower) Mon-Thu to apply to reservations made between the dates of February 27, 2013 until Monday, March 25, 2013.  After this time, the rate will return to the contracted group rate of $249.00.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first night's guestroom and tax charge.  If reservation is guaranteed to a credit card, the first night's guestroom and tax charge, per guestroom, will be billed immediately to the cardholder's account.

Hotel allows individual cancellations without penalty up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.  Hotel shall charge one (1) night’s guaranteed guestroom rate, plus tax for cancellation within forty-eight (48) hours of the scheduled arrival date or failure of the individual to check-in on the scheduled arrival date.  Any remaining nights of a “no-show” reservation will be canceled.  It is policy to require a credit card or cash deposit for incidental charges.
