Plan now to attend the API’s 86th Exploration & Production Standards Conference on Oilfield Equipment and Materials, June 22-26, 2009. The development of consensus standards is one of API’s oldest and most successful programs. It covers about 550 standards for all segments of the oil and natural gas industry. The breadth of this vital program is an important indication of the varied industry contacts that attendees can make during the sessions and networking opportunities.

The deadline for pre-registration was June 1, 2009. You can now register on-site at the hotel starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 21st.

Advance Your Standards
Your participation keeps API standards going strong, and we would like you to share your standards expertise with the next generation. API invites you to sponsor first-time attendees from your company complimentary at all API 2009 standards meetings.
This program is limited to first-time attendees who are sponsored and accompanied by a prior API standards meeting participant from the same company. The sponsoring participant must pay the full registration fee. Pre-registration is required. Sponsored attendee registrations will not be accepted on-site. All hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant/attendee.
Sponsorship/Exhibitor Application and Agreements
Sponsoring or exhibiting at standards meetings is a targeted, cost-effective avenue for connecting with customers that you might not reach otherwise. The deadline for returning Sponsorship/Exhibitor Applications and Agreements is May 15, 2009. Sponsorship items requiring artwork should be returned by May 1, 2009.
Hotel Information
Reservations may be made directly with The Westin Westminster by calling 303-410-5000. The deadline for making reservations is 5:00 pm, local time at the hotel on May 29, 2009. The group rate is $189 single or double occupancy. Identify yourself as attending the API meeting to receive the group rate. The group rate is available three days prior to and after the dates of the meeting. In addition, reservation requests received after 5:00 pm, local time at the hotel will be accepted on a space available basis at the group rate for a limited time.

Spouse/Guest Program
Breakfasts will be provided Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. In addition to breakfasts, other activities are being planned. More details will be available shortly.
Monday - Day in the Mountains - Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum and Red Rocks Amphitheater: Breakfast will be provided at the hotel from 8:00 am – 9:30 am. At 9:30 am, participants will board a bus for a day in the mountains. They will start off by going up to Look-Out Mountain to Buffalo Bill’s Grave and Museum. After a short visit there, they will board the bus and travel to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre where they will have lunch in this amazing geologically formed, open-air amphitheatre that is not duplicated anywhere in the world. With Mother Nature as the architect, the design of the Amphitheatre consists of two, three hundred-foot monoliths (Ship Rock and Creation Rock). Visit www.redrocksonline.com for more information. Tuesday – Day Trip to the Celestial Seasonings Factory: Breakfast will be provided at the hotel beginning at 8:00 am. At approximately 10:30 am, participants will leave for a tour of the factory and experience the following and more: 1) Entertain the taste buds with a tea sampling, taste a new flavor or savor their favorite. There are over 50 varieties to choose from; 2) Stroll through the Celestial Herb Garden and see herbs and botanicals growing in a beautiful garden setting; 3) Venture into the “rocking and rolling” factory where 8 million tea bags are produced daily; 4) Experience The Mint Room and encounter the mind-clearing power of peppermint and spearmint. Stored in the enclosed room are crates of mint; visitors are bombarded with peppermint and spearmint. It really clears the sinuses. Wednesday - High Tea at the Historic Brown Palace: After breakfast, participants may enjoy some personal time before leaving for the Brown Palace for afternoon tea, a long standing tradition. The fee for spouses and guests to participate for the three days is $125 which will include all activities unless otherwise indicated (such as lunch). One-day participation is $75. If you plan to bring a spouse or guest, please provide information in your online registration or on your written registration form. The Spouse/Guest fee is valid only to a spouse or personal friend, not a business associate or staff colleague.
We must be able to plan accordingly for how many will participate, so please be sure to include your spouse's home address, email, and contact information so we will have it should we need to confirm their participation and specific details with them directly.
Spouses and guests may also attend the reception on Wednesday evening.
