2009 Inspector Summit Call for Papers
Upcoming Deadlines:
| Call for Papers Submission Due | CLOSED |
| Notification given to selected speakers | August, 2008 |
| Publication of Draft Agenda | Friday, September 12, 2008 |
| Final Deadline for submitting all conference materials * | November 17, 2008 * |
| Speaker/Moderator Registration Deadline | Monday, January 5, 2009 |
| Hotel Reservation Deadline | Monday, January 5, 2009 |
* Note that it is the Speakers responsibility to provide their finalized presentation and short biography to the Session Moderator, as well as to Matthew Cunningham (cunninghamm@api.org) by the deadline. The Planning Committee has agreed (April 2008) that any finalized presentation not submitted by this deadline will be immediately rejected, and the speaker will be banned from speaking at the 2009 conference, and all future API Inspector Summit conferences.
Speaker Resources:
- Instead of a many page handout, consider brining 200 copies of a one page "resource sheet" to be distributed during your session.
- If you have a Q&A period, have some interesting questions planted in the audience by your session co-moderator. As a rule, don't spend more than 2 minutes per question.
- Feedback from past API conferences has shown that any "sales presentation" will leave your audience cold. Should you desire to sell, please consider exhibiting or sponsoring instead.
