WASHINGTON, March 8, 2012 – At an EPA hearing in Ann Arbor, Michigan today, API Vice President of Regulatory and Economic Policy Kyle Isakower said that industry cannot blend more ethanol into gasoline and warned that severe gasoline supply problems could occur unless Congress repeals the unworkable renewable fuel standard (RFS).

WASHINGTON, February 27, 2013 – API Downstream Group Director Bob Greco welcomed legislation introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives today by Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) that would stop EPA’s premature approval of higher levels of ethanol in gasoline, known as E15.

WASHINGTON, February 21, 2013 – API and other groups have appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court a D.C. Circuit Court decision rejecting a challenge to EPA’s grant of partial waivers for use of the ethanol-gasoline blend, E15, API’s group director for downstream and industry operations Bob Greco told reporters this morning.

WASHINGTON, January 31, 2013 – API criticized EPA for ignoring a recent court decision in its 2013 proposed mandate for nonexistent cellulosic biofuel.

WASHINGTON, January 30, 2013 – EPA sent new fuel regulations to the Office of Management and Budget for final review that would raise costs, provide little or no environmental benefit, and actually increase carbon emissions, according to API Downstream Group Director Bob Greco.

WASHINGTON, January 29, 2013 – Use of the ethanol gasoline blend E15 may endanger fuel systems in millions of 2001 and newer vehicles, API Group Director of Downstream and Industry Operations Bob Greco told reporters this morning, citing newly completed research by the Coordinating Research Council, an organization created and supported by the oil and auto industries.

WASHINGTON, January 25, 2013 – API welcomed today’s decision in the U.S. Court of Appeals that rejected EPA’s 2012 mandate for refiners to use cellulosic biofuel, which is not commercially available.
