The API Engineering Partnership Program

Grad

Preparing Future Engineers the API Way.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) realizes how important it is to have undergraduate and graduate engineering students understand the practical uses of API standards prior to entering careers in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, API is now offering the Engineering Partnership to academic institutions worldwide. Beginning in January 2013, API will offer up to 50% off the complete set of API standards for a one location/one user internet-accessible subscription.

The oil and natural gas industry develops and adapts to an ever-changing environment. And API takes its natural position as an active participant in the task of preparing new engineers for their upcoming careers. Offered through API and our authorized redistributors, the Engineering Partnership will allow students to interact with the API suite of over 600 standards and build upon their existing skills. The program will further allow students to observe practical applications of textbook examples firsthand.

The API Engineering Partnership is also designed to assist colleges and universities in earning and maintaining their accreditation status. The Engineering Accreditation Commission recognizes the importance of including industry standards in the curriculum. In its criteria, the Commission requires that engineering programs prepare students for engineering practice through the curriculum.

The future oil and gas industry engineers will be consistently utilizing API standards throughout their careers. Prepare future engineers by making API standards available to them today. Take advantage of the API Engineering Partnership now.
