API hires Hilary Moffett as Director of Federal Relations

WASHINGTON, August 17, 2016 - Today API announced Hilary Moffett has joined the oil and natural gas trade association as a director of federal relations, where she will handle energy and environmental priorities.

“Moffett has a strong association and legislative background,” said API Executive Vice President Louis Finkel. “Her experience will enhance our industry’s advocacy efforts to ensure that all Americans continue to benefit from our energy renaissance.”

Prior to joining API, Moffett worked as director and assistant counsel at the Portland Cement Association. Moffett has also served as majority counsel for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and legislative director for Congressman Dan Boren (D-Okla.).

Moffett graduated from the college at Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in International Studies and received a law degree from the University of Oklahoma College Of Law.
