U.S. natural gas production is up 27% since January 2019

U.S. natural gas marketed production has increased by 27% (25 bcf/d) since January 2019. Texas, New Mexico, and West Virginia have accounted for 94% of the net growth. Texas has led on a volumetric basis, adding 11.7 bcf/d of production. Meanwhile, New Mexico has led by percentage, surging 168%. These three states now account for 47% of total U.S. natural gas production, up from 35% in early 2019.
