API Spec Q1, 10th Ed. Transition Course

API released the new 10th Ed of API Specification Q1, Quality Management System Requirements for Organizations Providing Products for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry. A new course is now available that is designed to review with participants the major changes, additions, and subtractions from the 9th edition of the specification. API-U instructor-led training courses based on API Specification Q1, Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry, 9th Edition, and API Specification Q2, Quality Management System Requirements for Service Supply Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries, 2nd Edition provide the learner with the knowledge to apply the specifications to their own organizations to fulfill quality management system requirements and customer needs.

These courses incorporate practical examples and hands-on applications to progressively give the learner introductory to advanced knowledge of Q1 and Q2’s requirements and interpretations, explain Q1 and Q2’s importance in the natural gas and oil industry and outline the design and implementation of a quality management system plan with consideration of allowable exclusions, audit criteria, legal requirements, monitoring and analysis.

The Fundamentals course is ideal for both newcomers and those already familiar with working under Spec. Q1 or Q2 requirements. The Practitioner course is an extension of the Fundamentals course and further focuses on the execution of product and service quality plans, risk assessment and management, contingency planning and management of change.
