Paul Lindsay is Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Petroleum Institute (API), the leading voice of America’s natural gas and oil industry. He leads API’s integrated public affairs strategy and team, overseeing communications, grassroots advocacy and public engagement efforts to advance the industry’s priorities in Washington and across the country.
Lindsay brings more than 20 years of experience across corporate public affairs, strategic communications, advocacy campaigns, government and politics. Prior to joining API, he served as Head of Global Public Affairs at Intuit, where he built the public affairs function for the global financial technology platform. Previously, he oversaw federal grassroots public affairs at PhRMA.
Lindsay also held communications roles with national political organizations and campaigns, including the Republican National Committee, National Republican Congressional Committee and American Crossroads.
A graduate of James Madison University, Lindsay was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He now lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and two daughters.
