Register

When: December 16, 2021 - December 16, 2021

Where: Houston, TX

Course Summary:

The Basic Gauge Measurement Instruction course for Rotary Shouldered is designed to introduce, familiarize and teach correct gauging techniques for the proper measurement of tubing and casing threads utilizing equipment commonly found in the industry. The main focus of the course is to have participants gain hands on experience using a variety of gauges on test pieces.

About the Instructor:

The Director of Training, Mr. Connor O’Boyle, has spent time working in various oilfield capacities to include sales, manufacturing and quality. He then worked for a gauge manufacturer spending time selling, building and calibrating all the individual thread element gauges. Mr. O’Boyle then created a training course to provide thread element instruction. After leaving the gauge manufacturer, Mr. O’Boyle worked closely with industry experts to develop a newer, more involved thread inspection course. Gauge Training Inc. has been an API-U approved training provider for their two main courses: Tubing & Casing Thread Inspection and Rotary Shouldered Thread Inspection since April 2019. Mr. O’Boyle is now a member of all API committees/sub-committees dealing with the various specs covered in the Gauge Training courses. Since his time with the gauge manufacturer, Mr. O’Boyle has trained over 500 people across the U.S., China, Vietnam, Malaysia and South Korea.
