An important part of crane safety is proper training of crane rigging personnel. This rigger training incorporates the familiarization in lifting loads with slings, rigging hardware, and safety issues associated with JSA’s/JSEA’s and lift plans. The training includes both classroom-type instruction and practical exercises. The practical exercises include proper inspection, use, selection, and maintenance of rigging gear (slings, rigging hardware). This course does have a written examination and instructor observed evaluations.
