API Applauds House Ways and Means Committee Passage of Budget Reconciliation Bill

WASHINGTON, May 14, 2025 – American Petroleum Institute (API) President and CEO Mike Sommers issued the following statement after the House Ways and Means Committee approved its portion of the budget reconciliation bill:
 
“We congratulate Chairman Jason Smith and the House Ways and Means Committee for passing a tax plan that supports American energy leadership. We look forward to working with Congress on a final tax package that strengthens pro-investment policies, accelerates innovation and advances global competitiveness.”
