API Applauds EPA Action to Help Ensure Affordable, Reliable Electricity Amid Growing Demand

WASHINGTON, June 11, 2025 — American Petroleum Institute (API) Senior Vice President of Policy, Economics and Regulatory Affairs Dustin Meyer issued the below statement after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced new actions to help ensure energy is affordable for families and businesses.


“We applaud EPA Administrator Zeldin for taking decisive action to ensure the American people have access to affordable and reliable energy. Our demand for electricity is only growing, and we will continue working with the administration on policies that keep the lights on for the American people.”
