API Applauds House Passage of Tax Reconciliation Package

WASHINGTON, July 3, 2025 – American Petroleum Institute (API) President and CEO Mike Sommers issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 2025 tax reconciliation bill:

"Congress has taken decisive action to advance President Trump's energy dominance agenda by passing pro-growth tax policy. This historic legislation is a win for American-made energy, consumers and the workers who power our economy. We applaud Congress for unleashing our nation’s oil and natural gas resources, and we look forward to President Trump signing this bill into law."
