WASHINGTON, March 29, 2011 – API today announced the addition of Sabrina Fang to its media relations team.

“Sabrina brings a wealth of communications experience from a wide array of perspectives,” said API Director of Media Relations Eric Wohlschlegel. “She is a great addition to our media team, and she has the background and tools to effectively communicate the importance of oil and natural gas to our nation’s economy and our energy security.”

Fang comes to API with nearly 15 years of broadcast journalism experience. She covered the Bush White House for seven years for Tribune Broadcasting and reported on major national and political events, including the 2009 Inauguration of President Barack Obama, Hurricane Katrina, and the space shuttle Columbia explosion. Prior to API, Fang was Director of Marketing & Communications at the Washington Humane Society.

API represents more than 470 oil and natural gas companies, leaders of a technology-driven industry that supplies most of America’s energy, supports more than 9.2 million U.S. jobs and 7.5 percent of the U.S. economy, and, since 2000, has invested nearly $2 trillion in U.S. capital projects to advance all forms of energy, including alternatives.
