Crude Oil Exports: What they are Saying

U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency Maria van der Hoeven and many other experts have called for lifting the restrictions against the export of U.S. crude oil. Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Economics Michael D. Plante said: "This would increase the supply of oil available on the world market and lead to greater production of gasoline and diesel fuels, lowering their prices and benefiting U.S. consumers. . ."
